A Good Friend

April 12, 2013

We rolled in around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Around 11, Patty brought lunch down.  She found me feverishly re-organizing every bookshelf in the house.

“So…” she began, cautiously eyeing the six exploding suitcases in the dining room, “I see you are rearranging your books?”

Of course I was.  Who could unpack all those clothes when there are nick-nacks to arrange.  When I explained this she nodded with understanding, “Well you know what they say: we do the things we  can do.”

I still cannot get those suitcases unpacked.  But on the bright side, my bookshelves are looking good.
