Hacked for Hope

September 26, 2012

J in a magazine!

This past May, a reporter from World Magazine came to Hope Academy (where I, Dan, work). He interviewed teachers, students, and families, and a photographer snapped photographs. The occasion? Hope Academy had been named the Midwest Regional Finalist for World Magazine’s Hope Award for Effective Compassion.

With absolutely no string-pulling from me, it made J’s week to see that a picture of her is featured in the artlcle–which you can see and read here (that’s her in the middle).

Now, World is holding an open vote to determine the winner of the Hope Award, with the ministry receiving the most votes winning a $25,000 award. Lucy gave me permission to hack onto the blog to invite all of you to click here, select the Vote Now button and vote for Hope Academy.

Voting ends September 30, so spread the word.
