Lemonade Stand

August 18, 2012

Today we sold lemonade. Customers included seven neighbors, four drive-thrus, and a firetruck.   Cost: one coin.  Profit:  twenty-seven dollars, three rupis, and a washer.  Special thanks to Dan, who knows a golden opportunity when he sees it, and stayed out selling lemonade alone after the kids had called it a night.

Comments:

Charlie: “I remember when I was three and I was very poor.”

Elisabeth: “When I grow up I want to be a lemonade.”

Miss P: “Lemonade!  LEMONAAAADE!”

I am so grateful for pictures of them. It will prepare me for seeing them. They are so much bigger/older than the last time I saw them in person. Looking forward to a visit.

Was that a washer that goes on a screw or a washing machine? If it was a washing machine, I would say y’all really made quite a profit!

Precious kiddos! That lemonade looks luscious! Can you send me a glass? Anna, I was wondering the same thing.

Sometimes I really wish your blog included videos 🙂 Maybe they can do a cousins lemonade stand during Labor Day. Sam loves nothing more than selling lemonade (and getting to “keep the change”).

Kristine, I really really wished we had a video of the lemonade stand to document the unusual customers we served.

Charlie is so lucky. For years I have registered for a fire truck visit on Neighbors Night Out and NEVER been successful. all you had to do was sell lemonade and there they were!
