He Fought Bravely

June 26, 2012

We are staying home today, while Charlie bravely battles constipation.  The symptoms of the condition were atypical.  The children refer to Charlie’s past week, spent in bathroom thinking he was going to wet his pants, as his “pee problem”.  Turns out the problem begins with a different “P” (which was pressing on his bladder) and was diagnosed through an X-ray yesterday.

So, although he was not to fond of the enema we had to administer this morning, he has taken quite a liking to Miralax, and prides himself on independently stirring into a glass of orange juice three times a day, declaring it “Delicious!” He has also feels very important choosing drinks from the three types of beverage purchased by Dan early this morning before work when he went to get the prescribed enema.

This has all been very exciting for the wee ones.  And I think I’m starting to lose perspective on what is and is not newsworthy.  Which would explain why I wrote this.

I love it, Lucy. Charlie is simply a very funny 4 year old.

Now this is life as a mother. Thanks for keeping it real.
