The Magic Tricycle

March 12, 2012

For some reason there has been a real surge in flying attempts at our house this week.  First it was Elisabeth, who I noticed was spending a lot of time running through the house at top speed and leaping into the air with her arms over her head.

Me: “Elisabeth what are you doing?”

Her: “Just practicing my flying, Mom.  I’m thinking about taking some flying lessons.”

Me: “Oh, Okay.”

Her: “But where do people go for flying lessons?”

Me: “I don’t know.  Maybe you and Daddy could look it up on the internet.”

Dan assisted her with her flying research, but it seems that to fly a plane you have to be at least 18.  The same was true of hot air ballooning.  This was disappointing for Elisabeth but certainly good news for air traffic controllers everywhere.

Then yesterday I came outside to check on the children and found this in progress:

Charlie has more success on the magic tricycle than Elisabeth, who for some reason never could get off the ground.
