Settling In

October 8, 2011

We are settling in to life with four little peppers.  Our days go something like this:

A.m. Children wait outside J.’s room for her to wake up.  Children gather round to watch her eat her breakfast.  All troop outside to watch her get on the school bus.

P.m. Wait outside for J.’s bus to arrive.  Gather round to stare at J. while she does her homework.  Watch her eat her snack.  Play with her until bedtime.

What did we do all day without her?  Mary Brown reminded me that after our last trip to Birmingham (a smashing success thanks to neighbor Corrie James) I prayed for a ten year old girl in our new neighborhood, close enough to walk over,  who could be a friend to our children in the tradition of Corrie.  Little did I know the answer to prayer would be conveniently located in our very house!
