Three crib family

May 22, 2011

Today was a momentous day. We gave one of our cribs to the Browns for Baby Brother Brown to enjoy.  We are no longer a three crib family, nor do I expect we ever will be again.  I vividly remember going to Target last spring to buy a third crib mattress to put in a borrowed crib, because Miss P was on the way and the peppers were not yet full length.  One of them is now full length and one of them is just getting too old for a crib.  A friend recently expressed shock that Elisabeth (not full length)  still sleeps in a crib…with bumper pads…sucking a pacifier…at age 3.  At our new house, the twins are looking forward to sleeping in the bunk beds that belonged to Papaw when he was a boy (complete with original mattresses from 1959).  That Papaw does know how to hang on to a thing.  And he assures us he never wet the bed.

Friendly advice: buy some new mattress pads.

We have three cribs waiting for them in Birmingham and Elisabeth can sleep in a crib and have her boppee as long as she wants if I have anything to say about it. Nini

Their nursery looks so pretty! I love the clock and red dresser!
