Runs in the Family
December 3, 2012
When Mary Olson was a baby, her mother took her to the pediatrician for a check-up. When he saw her, he exclaimed, “That’s not a baby, it’s a little elephant!” When he discovered the mother had mistakenly been feeding little-big Mary sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk, he assumed that explained her marvelous girth.
Considering the astonishing growth of baby Annie, one wonders if it wasn’t the milk. Perhaps baby elephants, like twins are hereditary. I regularly get asked, “Do twins run in your family?” I can now say, “Yes, and elephants too!”
Behold, Little-Big Annie, now six months old!
